Vocal Care

The teacher’s voice is to be truly cherished. This delicate instrument calls for significant levels of self–care to nurture its longevity as our true primary asset.

Our voice is taken for granted across the board, in spite of the current research that indicates that 57% of teachers experience voice disorders during their professional lives, compared to 28.8% for non-teachers.

This section of the website is dedicated to bringing a focus to the self-care of the teacher’s voice.

It is an observation - of what has been seen and experienced by people who have been in education over many years and thus an offering of what could possibly be a different way, should others in education consider that to be what is needed.  The opinions expressed are our personal opinions, and do not necessarily reflect the opinions of our colleagues.
