Mental & Emotional Wellbeing

The enthusiasm and dedication Teachers turn up with each day nourishes the body and ignites purpose and vocation. When that sense of vocation goes on ‘vacation’, overwhelm, anxiety and various other harmful effects start to manifest and undermine our mental and emotional wellbeing.

This impacts overall teacher wellbeing and the quality and professionalism that we bring to the classroom. This section of the website is dedicated to presenting a myriad of ways that we can preserve and deepen our personal and professional mental and emotional wellbeing.

Disclaimer: This site is not intended to provide advice. Nor does it tell a teacher what to do. Likewise, it is not a criticism. It is an observation - of what has been seen and experienced by people who have been in education over many years and thus an offering of what could possibly be a different way, should others in education consider that to be what is needed.  The opinions expressed are our personal opinions, and do not necessarily reflect the opinions of our colleagues.
